Arriving Haneda airport to catch the express train into Shinagawa on the outskirts of Tokyo. Japanese rail maps are a work of art.
Tokyo 23/11/25 - 26/11/25
Day 2. Train into Tokyo station and then a walk up to the imperial gardens and the Edo castle ruins. Gorgeous weather, beautiful gardens. All the plants are photographed and labelled (my thing).
Day 3. Train up to Hamamatsucho station for Minato City ( suburb of Tokyo). Walk down Shinhama park alongside the canal then back up to the Tokyo tower via Shiba Park. Little cloudy but great views across the city. Zojo-ji temple is such a beautiful place. Inside there is none of the pomp or opulence associated with western religions. Pure Buddhist serenity and calm. Walk up through the shopping district - think Chanel and Dior - up to the art aquarium. Fish and art - I don't think so.
