Adventurous times ahead. Snow blizzards, trains cancelled and an alert for a mega earthquake. Heading straight up on the Hayabusa shinkansen which famously travels through the world's longest undersea tunnel - 14.5 miles (the entire Seikan tunnel is over 33 miles in total). Reach the province of Hokkaido on the north island, staying in Hakodate for 3 days - marked with the yellow dot..blue indicates tsunami levels. I'm sticking close to that peninsular....

Full day just walking down to Cape Tachimachi. Interesting what you can stumble on.
Winding down now ready for a week skiing up in Niseko. Gentle stroll out through the fish market and a bit of shopping...
