Shinkansen up to Odawara, local train to Hakone Yumoto station and then bus up to Hakone. Spending a couple of days just chilling in the beautiful Hakone forest under the slopes of mount Fuji. Hakone retreat fore is the most tranquil and beautiful hotel. The kitchen is part of the dining experience and the food was superb. The staff changed the complete menu to cater for my dining companion who is vegetarian.

A leisurely stroll around the area. Stumbled upon the Venetian glass museum which housed some really beautiful pieces. Carried on around the Sengokuhara grasslands - a protected marshland.
